Martha Stewart Weddings Fall 2009: featured!

by Calder Clark on September 29th, 2009

Flattered? To say the least. Excited? Beyond belief! Blue Moon Events is featured in an eight page spread in the Martha Stewart Weddings Fall 2009 issue. The four day wedding weekend of Caroline and Keating Crown was a labor of love, and one we would gladly do again just to work with the two fabulous families we got to know so well.

Festivities kicked off with a spontaneous skeet shoot on the water, followed by an intimate Thanksgiving spread at McCrady’s. Friday night featured a bluegrass-infused welcome dinner at The William Aiken House. On Saturday, a candlelit ceremony and bash were held at Middleton Place. The weekend was capped off by a bespoke brunch at Circa 1886 at the Wentworth Mansion, where 150+ year-old carriage house doors were thrown open for the first time ever to welcome guests in style for the couple’s official farewell.

Camp’s Cameo

by Calder Clark on September 24th, 2009

Baby Campbell, our latest addition to the Blue Moon roster, was baptized on August 16, 2009 at Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church. Brunch followed at the Old Village Post House and Marni Rothschild Durlach shot the entire affair. We just wanted to share a sneak peek of our little fete!

Side note: Marni was a total trooper- she traipsed around the Old Village with her precious 9 month pregnant belly and just this week celebrated her firstborn: Marcus Russell Durlach V came into the world on 9.21.09! Congratulations, Marni + Marcus!

A few tidbits from the boy’s big day:

The Wonder Years- Revisited

by Calder Clark on September 21st, 2009

We are head over heels for the Super 8 mm work of one of the Southeast’s premier photography teams, A Bryan Photo, good friends of ours and folks who we heart big time.

Remember the grainy element and whirring clickety-clack of those cameras? Here’s a modern recipe to replace the Velveeta videographer’s role: mix one parts A Bryan Photo, one parts Super 8 mm, a pinch of kitschy music and the dearest couple ever, et voila:

While we may have to keep their images under wraps for now, at least go enjoy their video!
