Bevy of Beauties

by Calder Clark on October 5th, 2009

They say “it takes a village”- and we’re the first to admit it! We are thrilled to introduce our talented team of Fall 2009 interns- Carly, Anne Marie, Morgan, & Katye- whose craft skills and Powerpoint mastery are already being put to the test. We can’ t wait to pull off a host of upcoming weddings with these gals all over town and beyond. Welcome to BME!

It’s been a year?

by Calder Clark on October 4th, 2009

Insert appropriate cliche: time flies when you’re having fun, and fun was certainly had on 10.4.08 in Litchfield at the wedding of Julia and Graham Carpenter, featured this past summer on the Weddings Unveiled blog, Completely Unveiled.

Happy anniversary to two of our favorite Atlantans!

Baked to Perfection

by Calder Clark on October 2nd, 2009

Owned and operated by Matt Lewis & Renato Poliafito, this dreamy little Charleston-via-NYC confectionery is dangerously around the corner from anyone toiling away on the Peninsula- namely, us. Our favorite little number is the Peanut Butter Chocolate Rice Krispie treat, which we have cut into fourths and presented on vintage pressed glass and milk glass three-tiers and cake stands at a select few of our Springtime affairs- much to the despair of dieting wedding guests. But really- who sticks to a diet at a wedding? Let’s be real.

Baked PB Rice Krispie Treats

The sweet and salty brownie breaks our hearts, and the homemade marshmallows aren’t too shabby either. Dessert bars are always chic- so any bride could make her way to Baked and hand-select quite the array for her big day. Regardless, make a break for it….it’s worth every calorie.
