Back in the Saddle

After a weekend of gorging ourselves on the sights, sounds, and gastronomic delights of Blackberry Farm, we are back to Chucktown to rehash and recap.

It goes without saying (but let’s say it anyway) that my next few nights’ dreams will be filled with these things:

0 the soft blanket of snow on the most charming farmhouse I’ve ever seen

0 the juxtaposition of antique pewter collections, orange wingbacks with nailhead trim and wood veneer sides, crusty split rail fences, woolly lambs a-grazing, featherlight flaxen slipcovers, perfectly-seared duck on custom Bernardaud chargers, oh- and George the llama

0 the simple tastes of Blackberry Farm’s Singing Brook cheese and Semolina bread from our impossibly gourmet box lunches (thanks, Ashley!)

I can’t even begin to describe the running list of design tidbits churning through my head, but here’s a sneak peek of the inspiration behind the wedding’s eventual design:
