Great Father/Daughter First Dances for Weddings

by Calder Clark on March 10th, 2010

If you missed our posts on ceremony music and first dances, you can read them here and here.  Today, we jump into the Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dances, which are always challenging. If you listen to the lyrics of several classics fairly closely, they’re often thinly-veiled odes to heartbreak and heartache, which is inapplicable!

Check a few of these out as great bets for your big day dances:

What A Wonderful World, Louis Armstrong

My Girl, The Temptations

Isn’t She Lovely, Stevie Wonder

Somewhere Over the Rainbow, Doris Day

Sunshine of My Life, Stevie Wonder

Fathers & Daughers, Paul Simon

The Way You Look Tonight, Frank Sinatra

How Sweet It Is, Marvin Gaye
