Have you seen . . . Made by Julene?

by Calder Clark on January 13th, 2011

You know when you come across something that just takes your breath away? Then envy sets in that while creative, you’re not an artiste of this magnitude? That’s how Julene Harrison of Made by Julene makes me feel! Envious and yet thankful to know she’s out there (in the UK, natch) producing these gorgeous paper-cut concoctions that seem part-lace, part-typography, part-silhouettes-of-the-past.

I cannot wait to commission one for our next baby, due in June…if it’s a girl. I probably need to have one made for Camp too, but they’re wonderfully and overtly feminine, so maybe not! Point is: I “needdat”, as Caitlin says.

Love that this is shot on wood- I would want to mount mine on distressed wood and have the whole she-bang framed.

See what  I meant about lace? White-on-white cannot be beat.

Love this quote!!

Great for our neighbor!!
