A Fun Farewell (Ring a bell!)

by Calder Clark on February 2nd, 2011

I think it’s super hard to come up with fresh ideas for couples’ departures . . . we’re always streeeeetching to think of something off-the-cuff and authentic.

We loved utilizing little silver bells for our bride Kristen last June . . .

We had a calligrapher pen “Ring the bell to say farewell” and then had little flags printed via Dulles Designs. We affixed one to each bell and had guests pick them up as they lined up to bid the couple adieu.

Tips:

1) You can find little silver plate bells all day long on the ‘net for just a few dollars a piece.

2) Plan on one per guest times about 75% of actual guest count.

3) Put them out as late as possible or you’ll have a cacophony of premature ringing.
