Circa Who?

by Calder Clark on February 22nd, 2011

Poring over the latest Coastal Living in the wee hours of my sleepless prego nights, I stumbled across resortwear designer Marcie Bond’s fab Caribbean bungalow and about had a mini meltdown over the throwback Miami-ness of it all.

I already have an affinity for Hollywood Regency (think Syroco mirrors and gilded caned anything) and to see that mixed up with retro bamboo genius just stopped me in my tracks. You can see the article here on An Apple a Day, but my real point is that Marcie revealed one of her legit sources- Circa Who- which is most definitely the reason I got une hour of sleep last night. Is there rehab for decor addicts?

Here’s what kept me up:

For my children’s bathroom? Shellac something apple green and Mama’s a taker.

Vintage rattan bar cart- Ta Die Fah.

These white leather tufted chairs just say “You’re not cool enough to have me.” If they had tongues, they’d be sticking out at you.

Dee-liteful pair of latticework ceramic lamps. These came out of the ultimate Sixties West Palm bungalow. Previous owner’s name had to be Gertie- replete with husky voice, preference for Virginia Slims menthols, wardrobe full o’ mid-calf muu-muus.

Dreamy vintage white faux bamboo chairs – have to find a home around my farm table, but not thinking I can swing that juxtaposition. Alas.
