Paper Suites Galore

by Calder Clark on May 12th, 2011

Today I spent some time perusing our past brides’ beautiful stationery suites. I was reviewing trends and considering fresh concepts for meetings we have coming up, and suffice it to say: our girls have done some very cool stuff!

More importantly, they implicitly understand the concept of cohesion . . . that the different pieces which pass under guests’ noses should be “kissing cousins”, or closely related to each other in scope, style, design, impression, printing method, colorization, and more. I personally love how a save-the-date sets a certain tone, and then fully appreciate how the final invite is often the pièce de résistance (said with gusto). Below, some of our suites so you can see how the ideas played out from start to finish:

Our bride Catherine fell hard for Mr. Boddington, and it’s easy to see why . . . view more of their lovely wedding, featured here.

We tapped Francie Austin’s classic taste to create this luxe letterpress suite with Dulles Designs. The calligraphy artwork and the deckled edges are absolutely timeless. Check out more of Francie’s big day, featured here.

Our bride Kady Adams has one artistic mom . . . so they teamed up to dream up beautiful and simple artwork used on her letterpress suite in a warm mocha. I still come across snippets of her awesome ivory whipstitched grosgrain ribbon in our studio, and it makes me smile.

Katie Barosky has an impeccable eye, which made our stationery suite development with Dulles Designs and with the couple super smooth and downright fun. We selected copper and seafoam as her color pairing and Pantone matched them with the printers we used so that everything was spot on. The pic’s a bit unsharp (my fault!) but you can also see that we used a beautiful pale celadon coastal map as a letterpressed base to her invite . . . delish.
