Bring ON the Fall. This issue has it all- and we were so honored to style + shoot “the southern table”. I’ve already gotten boatloads of emails, calls, and even letters about it . . . it’s amazing how many folks love tabletop- or just to talk about entertaining in Dixie. It’s also a testament to the power of print- how it’s still alive, and how many people breathlessly await their monthly issue of Southern Living.
Our studio is all mercurial blues and greens, flaxen linen, raw barn wood pieces, exposed brick, even a treasured pair of cow horns + a tobacco basket or two. It was just too easy to tap our ole friend jadeite to be the driving force behind the look, as we were aiming for “Indian Summer”.
It took a village, lest it look otherwise: Cheree Berry for paper, Blossoms for florals, Cru for food + drink, and my killer team of girls to help dream it all up and execute it. It was expertly shot by Laurey Glenn for Southern Living, and stamped for final approval by the effortlessly stylish + friendy Homes Editor, Jen Kopf. Hope you enjoyed!
