On Ori

Blown away by the juxtaposition of beauty and drama in Ori Gersht‘s 2006 series “Exploding Flowers”. The Tel Aviv-born artist and photographer was inspired by Henri Fantin-Latour’s lush 19th century still lifes and he describes his images as “celebratory and violent” . . . they irk me and yet I want one in our studio! Dream a little dream.

Destination: Vacation

Calder returns from a Hawaiian holiday today and her jaunt to a tropical locale has me thinking about the same thing.

Namely this place called Hotel Azucar in Mexico. I WANT TO GO TO THERE.
